Evening "alire 12" and Observable Transitoire
Presented by Philippe Bootz, Alexandre Gherban and
Tibor Papp
Founded in 1989 by L.A.I.R.E. and published by Philippe Bootz within
association Word-to see, alire constitutes the oldest electronic review
in numerical literature. Its current number, the 12°, published in July
2004, is devoted to the international collective Transitoire
Observable.Transitoire Observable was founded in February 2003 by three
poets: Philippe Bootz, Alexandre Gherban and Tibor Papp, on a proposal
of Alexandre Gherban. This collective proposes a unified approach of
numerical art and literature. It considers that the programming (and
not the program) constitute fundamental material worked by the creator
and that it is likely to impel specific aesthetic forms in the device
of communication which connects the author to the reader, to witness or
to interactor.
The evening will be articulated in two parts.
The first will consist of a presentation and projection of works
published in the CDROM alire12 which comprises contributions of: Jim
Andrews, Wilton Azevedo, Jean-Pierre Balpe, Philippe Bootz,
B-l-u-e-s-c-r-e-e-n, Patrick Henri Burgaud, John Cayley, Philippe
Castellin, Alexandre Gherban, Xavier Leton, Tibor Papp, Nazura Rahime,
Antoine Schmitt, Eric Sérandour, Reiner Strasser.
This part will be the occasion to specify the aimings of Observable the
Transitoire collective and to replace them in the general context of
the evolution of the numerical literature.
